Sir Ian McKellen makes a special addition to his 80th birthday tour at The McGrigor Hall.

Celebrating his 80th birthday with a solo show and visiting many theatres around the UK, Sir Ian visits East Anglia in April and has has agreed to include a special visit to Frinton Summer Theatre. Sir Ian says ‘live theatre has always been thrilling to me, as an actor and in the audience. …… Growing up in Lancashire, I was grateful to those companies who toured beyond London and I've always enjoyed repaying that debt by touring up and down the country myself.’

“The show starts with Gandalf and will probably end with an invitation to act with me on stage. In-between there will be anecdotes and acting.”

Tickets will be available exclusively to members of Friends of Frinton Theatre.

Membership of the Friends association is still open for 2019 and information about it and how to join can be found on their website at http://friendsoffrintontheatre.bravesites.com. Membership costs £12.
Tickets for this fundraising show will be at £40 and £30 each with £40 at the front and £30 at the back. There will be no raised seating.
