MEET THE TEAM

Frinton Summer Theatre is a registered charity (no. 1170429). The company was established with solely charitable objectives and has operated within these since incorporation so in treated as a charity from inception. It obtained formal registration with the charity commission on 28th November 2016.

The trustees of the charity were appointed on incorporation. subsequent trustees can be appointed by trustees and there is no limit to the term of office. There must be a minimum of 3 trustees at any given time.The board is responsible for the strategic management of the charity and for setting policy.

All trustees give their time and expertise on a voluntary basis and receive no remuneration or other benefits. 

ANGELA GOSTLING

Trustee & Marketing Lead

Angela Gostling is a marketing and communications specialist with over 20 years’ experience. She has worked with a number of large global organisations and start-up businesses, across a range of sectors worldwide including energy, banking, telecoms,

professional services, higher education, gambling, travel and most recently not-for-profit.

Her work has taken her to study, live and work throughout Europe in Germany, Netherlands,

Belgium, France and in Asia in Japan, Turkey and Sri Lanka. She is an accredited member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and a writing mentor with the Ministry of Stories.

PETER

DIAS

Trustee & Finance Lead

Peter has been a Trustee of Frinton Summer Theatre since 2017. He has a successful background in finance, having been a senior commercial banking manager with Lloyds Bank for many years and successfully running his own consultancy providing financial advice to small and medium sized businesses.   

 

He brings a wealth of experience to the Theatre Trust in finance systems, budgeting, forecasting and management accounting.  He is a Freeman of the City of London, and a liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Coachmakers and Coach Harness Markers, as well as being Chair of the Frinton Beach Hut Association.

RICHARD

MAX

Richard’s first involvement with the Summer Theatre was when he was 13 and he helped build sets for Jack Watling’s company. He then became Assistant Stage Manager and his first professional acting role was as second footman in “Rebecca”. He stage managed at Frinton for 8 seasons and loved every minute of it.

 

Richard became a solicitor and now has his own specialist practice in London – but he is also a Frinton Resident and continues to support the Theatre as Chair of the Trustees of the Frinton Summer Theatre Charity and a member of the Friends of Frinton Theatre.

JACEY

DIAS

Jacey has been a Trustee since 2016. She has a successful background in business management and Human Resources which she brings to her work for Frinton Summer Theatre. She was a Director of Brook Graham Ltd a global diversity and inclusion consultancy which she co-founded and ran for 15 years. Prior to that she held senior roles in Lloyds Bank and Shell.  

 

Previous Trustee roles include Chair of Governors at the Coopers’ Company & Coborn School in Upminster, Essex and Trustee for the Essex Cricket Foundation, the official charity of Essex County Cricket Club. 
 

She is a Freeman of the City of London, with a passion for theatre and the arts, and has a degree in history from Exeter University. 

 

Her main work for the Trust in 2019-20 has been researching and writing the history  “Frinton Summer Theatre:80 Glorious Years”
