Calendar Girls

A musical by Gary Barlow and Tim Firth - this hilarious and heart warming musical is actually set in a WI hall - so the McGrigor is the perfect place to see it.  The death of a much loved husband prompts a group of ordinary women in a small Women's Institute to do an extraordinary thing.

God of Carnage

by Yasmine Reza

An Olivier and Tony Award winning comedy.

Two sets of parents meet after the son of one couple has hit the son of the other.  What begins as a civilised chat to resolve the matter gradually dissolves into comedy mayhem - as civility turns into chaos.

Present Laughter

by Noël Coward

As he prepares to embark on an overseas tour, star actor Garry Essendine's colourful and extraordinary life is in danger of spiralling out of control. His friends try to warn him to no avail.  Classic, exuberant Coward.

Duet for One

by Tom Kempinsky

This immensely moving and beautiful play won the London Theatre Critics Award for best play of 1980. Both Anne Bancroft and Julie Andrews have played the role of a famous concert violinist who is stricken with a disease which necessitates her retirement from performance.

Alan Cox is returning to Frinton having previously performed here in The Kings Speech and My Fair Lady  and it is being directed by RSC Award winning director Terry Johnson.

Two into One

by Ray Cooney

The master of British farce returns to the Frinton Stage. A junior minister plans a spot of extramarital afternoon nookie in a Westminster hotel where he is staying with his wife. He gets his put-upon private secretary to book a room under a false name, only to find his wife unexpectedly returning from a matinee….an orgy of door slamming ensues!
